Privacy Policy
YT CreatorPilot (“we”, “us”, “the Service”), available at ytcreatorpilot.com, is an AI tool that helps YouTube creators generate video ideas, scripts and related content. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
- Google account info. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID (via Google Sign-In / OpenID Connect).
- API keys you provide (BYOK). If you add your own Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) or YouTube Data API keys, we store them so the app can call those services on your behalf.
- YouTube data (only if you connect it). If you choose to connect your YouTube account, we access read-only YouTube Analytics (e.g. views, watch time, retention, subscribers, estimated revenue) and basic channel info to display your dashboard. We do not post, modify or delete anything on your channel.
- Content & usage. Your channel settings (niche, language, audience), generated ideas/scripts you create, saved items, and basic usage such as credits used.
2. How We Use It
- To provide the Service: authenticate you, generate content, show your analytics, and manage your plan/credits.
- To operate the free tier (running AI on our key for users without their own) and enforce fair-use limits.
- To communicate about your account and respond to support requests.
3. Google User Data
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use YouTube Analytics data only to show you your own dashboard inside the app. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for unrelated purposes. The Service’s use of information from YouTube also follows the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party AI Providers
When you generate content, your prompts and inputs are sent to the AI provider in use — Anthropic (Claude) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) — to produce the output. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We send only what is needed to fulfil your request.
5. Data Storage & Retention
Data is stored on our servers for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect YouTube at any time (which removes the stored token), clear your API keys in Settings, or request account deletion by emailing us. We retain only what is necessary to run the Service.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app (Google for sign-in, Anthropic/OpenAI for generation, our hosting provider), or where required by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Keys you provide are used solely to call the corresponding provider on your behalf.
8. Your Rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data, and revoke Google/YouTube access at any time via your Google account permissions. To request deletion, contact us.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
